Pre-War OM MH IcedT Burst Torrefied Adirondack Spruce/Honduran Mahogany

Sold
Acoustic guitar

The OM was introduced in 1929 as one of the earliest purpose-built 14-fret flat-top guitars. Its 25.4-inch scale provides greater tension, projection and attack than the closely related short-scale 000, while retaining the comfort and balance of the same auditorium-size body. This mahogany OM pairs a torrefied Adirondack spruce top and hand-carved torrefied bracing with Honduran mahogany back and sides. The long scale adds the bark and bite associated with Pre-War’s OM platform, while hot hide glue and the traditional dovetail neck joint contribute to its responsive, dry-aged character. The Iced-T Burst—described by Pre-War as an ambertone shadetop—is finished in the company’s ultra-thin, aged and checked nitrocellulose lacquer. The result combines long-scale OM power and versatility with the focused character of mahogany and the unmistakable appearance of a beautifully aged shaded-top guitar.
