Pre-War Herringbone D Torrefied Adirondack Spruce/Brazilian Rosewood

Sold
Acoustic guitar

This New Vintage project is Pre-War Guitars’ interpretation of a late-1930s Dreadnought. The 14-fret Dreadnought body made its debut in 1934 and continued to evolve throughout the pre-war years. This HR-BR is based on a 1937-style D, featuring forward-shifted X-bracing for exceptional power and projection. A torrefied Adirondack spruce top and bracing are paired with Brazilian rosewood back and sides, producing a clear, bell-like voice with excellent definition and headroom. Its ultra-thin Vintage Gloss nitrocellulose finish features natural-looking checking, completing the character and feel of a well-preserved vintage instrument. If you have been searching for that unmistakably dry and focused pre-war midrange, this guitar delivers it.
